Work Hard on Your Putting Stroke
I found the biggest improvement in my golf came when I spent time working on my putting stroke. In order to do this I set up a putting area at home to practice on and this allowed me to spend a few minutes each and every day working on this vital part of the game.
Nearly every golfer I know hardly spends any time working on their putting, they spend it all on the driver. I suppose it makes sense as you want to hit a nice long and straight drive. Not only so you feel good but also to impress your mates. When you make a decent putt nobody is really that impressed!
It only cost me $50 or so to set up at home and after a few months of practice I really started to become a better putter and then I started to notice my handicap coming down slowly.
I would tell any golfer to think about doing this as it could just make that small difference you have been looking for.
